Last month I said March was going to be sluggish. I’m not too sure how accurate that was, especially as countries were facing invasion and continued genocide, but I think for April things will greatly pick up.
The Mercury and Moon are especially swift this month, with Mercury quickly moving from Aries to Gemini by the 29th and the Moon undergoing two new Moons by the 30th. That last new moon is a partial solar eclipse in Taurus.
Aries and Taurus season will be about change and moving forward. Spring began the new year in ancient Mesopotamian times because this was when the Sun entered Aries. The dead of winter in the Northern hemisphere was finally giving way to bloom and new life. Therefore, Aries became associated with new beginnings and initiation.
We start out strongly with a new Moon in Aries on the 1st. However, we still have many planets lingering behind in Pisces, also. With Mars entering Pisces by the middle of the month, things may not be as swift as we want them to be, especially as Mars transits near Saturn before then. It is like the universe doesn’t want us to fully enter 2022 with any baggage. If you still have things weighing you down or you are refusing to let go of, it seems like this month will really challenge us all to confront these issues and finally move on.
Yes, Pluto interestingly goes retrograde this month and Uranus still has a very long way to go through Taurus. Change on a universal level is still occurring. And this change cannot be superficial. And it will not be. These planets are trining, and have been for quite some time, by sign. The energy exchange between Uranus’s rapid, abrupt change is flowing freely and easily with Pluto’s slower, more intense change. With the inner planets transiting Aries and eventually Taurus, we will be highly encouraged, if not forced, to embrace change in our lives because it is coming whether we like it or not.
This change seems very spiritual as well as physical. Uranus and Pluto are in earth, but Jupiter and Neptune are domicile in Pisces, a water sign. Pisces sextiles both Taurus and Capricorn. It is not unusual for us as humans to look towards our beliefs and faith for solace when our physical and material lives are difficult. And, indeed, this ongoing pandemic, especially with how Western countries are (not) dealing with it, has been immensely difficult. In the U.S., gas and food prices are skyrocketing while our President is telling us to go back to work and school in person. This, of course, is occurring alongside most states rolling back their COVID prevention measures. A new variant “coincidentally” popped up shortly after this. Hmm. 🤔
While I personally think 2022 is “officially” starting this month, I don’t think until at least Mars (really Jupiter but it’ll retrograde back into Pisces, so I won’t include it here) makes its way into Aries that whatever cycle we are in begins to close itself out. Certain energies just don’t stop or begin at the end of the solar calendar. They can be a part of a cycle that has its own internal clock. And I believe we are at the height of one right now. We as a species are being pushed to the limit. How we have been living needs to change, and some places are changing already.
Some Caribbean nations, for example, have been announcing their sovereignty these past few months. Jamaica was one such island nation last month. Its Prime Minister Andrew Holness told Prince William and his wife Kate while they were visiting to flex their colonial power that he wants Jamaica to be independent. This comes four months after Barbados became a republic by removing the queen as the sovereign head of state.
This is what Pluto and Uranus are all about—fundamental and profound changes in our institutions and ways of governance. Remember that these places were former European colonial states. The indigenous population was slaughtered and enslaved while the European conquerors brought over millions of Africans as slaves to work on the plantations they created. Removing the British royal family as the head of state of these places will radically (Uranus) transform (Pluto) how these places can operate and thrive (earth). A spiritual liberation will likely coincide with this as well (Jupiter, Neptune).
There will be backlash to this change, of course, which is reflected in the hard Pluto and Saturn aspects we will have this month. But with Mercury making intense (i.e., conjunction, square) and soft (i.e., sextile) aspects to Uranus and Saturn, and Jupiter and Neptune, respectively, our collective thinking is being challenged and opened up.
Mercury is at its absolute weakest in Pisces. It is in fall but also detriment. No other planet is doubly debilitated in a sign. But it is perhaps because Mercury is weak here that we are more able to accept new ways of thinking and believing. Thus, while it transited through Aries rather quickly, new seeds were sowed after it exited Pisces. By the time it enters Taurus by the middle of April, this new thinking will be germinating and growing.
Jupiter will perfect its sextile to Pluto by the end of the month while Mercury will first make a hard (i.e., square) aspect to Pluto by the middle of the month then a softer (i.e., trine) one near the end of the month, just a day before the Jupiter-Pluto sextile. It seems as though even if we do not accept new ideas or beliefs, some old ones will be eroded or brought up to the surface to be exposed so they can be reckoned with. Indeed, we are all undergoing a very spiritual transformation as well as a physical one. Many things on this planet have to shift, and the universe is applying extra pressure in April.

Aries

The New Moon in Aries: You all start out April very strongly as the Moon will be in your sign during the 1st. Like Aries, the new Moon is all about new beginnings and setting things in motion. If you’ve been feeling stagnant these past months, you may feel emotionally empowered in April. You may need to temper or level things out by the full Moon, however, if you went too hard.
The Aries transits: April is your month! The Sun and Mercury will be in your sign for part of the month. You may feel more yourself and active in April. Time to get going!
Mercury enters Gemini: After Mercury transiting Pisces, Mercury finally regains all of its strength by the end of the month. Although not a mentally driven sign, Mercury being more itself is only a plus, not a minus, for you all. Gemini also sextiles Aries. Mercury will be quick and playful like you are. You’ll be able to think on the fly, which is just your style.

Mars entering Pisces; Mars conjunct Saturn: Although Mars has triplicity in water, and is less malefic or potent in water, it is very weak in Pisces. As your ruler, you may find it difficult to take action decisively. You may be very confused and wander this month. It doesn’t help that before Mars enters Pisces, it will conjunct Saturn, a very slow, restrictive planet. April may not feel like your month as much as it typically does, unfortunately. You will be forced to tread carefully.
Sun sextile Saturn, Sun square Pluto: The Sun is exalted in your sign. In April it is making aspects to some heavier planets, dampening your ego and self-esteem. With your ruler transiting the sluggish, nebulous Pisces, this Aries season may feel very off.
Leo

The New and Full Moon in Aries and Libra: Leo makes soft aspects to both of the signs the Moon will transit. Things that you initiate this month will likely go smoothly and easily for you all. However, things may be thrown out of whack with the new Moon/solar eclipse in Taurus, as Taurus squares your sign. With Uranus in Taurus, whatever change the eclipse will bring forth may be forced upon you and quickly. As a fixed sign, you don’t like when things are disrupted and so abruptly. As a fire sign, you also immensely hate when you are not in charge of things that occur in your life and environment. But this eclipse isn’t about your feelings.
Venus entering Pisces: As a creative sign, the planet of love and the arts being in its exaltation will always be a plus for you all. With it brushing up against Jupiter and Neptune, April may be a very spiritually enlightening month for you too.
The Aries transits: Leo and Aries trine. Although you are fixed, Aries’s brisk energy is very much welcomed, especially after the sluggish trek through Pisces, and Saturn opposing you in Aquarius.

I don’t know if I was able to get my point across on Instagram, but for the fire signs, April seems to be about redirection. For the past few months, there was always this energy of being preoccupied by one’s job and status, or lack thereof. In April it seems like that is still the case, but for many of you, you need to really consider what’s going on around you.
Many of you are simply waiting around and growing impatient and frustrated by your situation. Someone may have you on read, and their lack of response or confirmation in something is tying up your finances pretty badly. It seems like one course of action is to simply walk away. I know for many that is not possible but there is a sense of being in denial about what’s going on with you. If someone said that they’re considering you for a job, raise, or promotion, for example, and now it is day 12, week six, or month three and you have heard nothing about that conversation again, perhaps it is time to make some difficult choices about your career/employment.
Yes, there is a growing sense that many of you feel unappreciated in the work force or for what you can offer in a work setting. Perhaps you thought that job/position/etc. would be your way on up or even out of a particular situation but now those plans are dashed. But instead of getting stuck, it seems like the universe wants you all to pivot. You may have more choices than you think and are divinely guided. But you have to be willing to go in a direction that you may find scary at the moment. Don’t be scared! You have all the tools needed to get you where you want to go! You just need to believe in yourself and be willing to take that leap of faith!
Indeed, self-confidence and authenticity are the message for all the fire signs. Saturn is here to teach you a lesson. For some it is to be more open and honest with yourself and others, especially emotionally. Some of you love to hide your pain and yet get upset when no one notices. Why hide what needs to be brought to the surface? Why is your mouth always closed? Speak what needs to be said! For others of you the lesson you had to learn was thinking outside the box. Some of you may be a bit fixed in your thoughts, believing that your life is often hopeless when it is not. But since you believe this to be so, the universe has been granting your wish by blocking you and making things frustrating. When will you get fed up enough to do something? We didn’t get a depressing message for once! Yay! It seems as though the storm is finally on its way out if it hasn’t left already. Indeed, I get the sense that you all are sort of at an impasse energetically. You’re not as stuck as you are anymore. The storm has torn through so much of who you thought you and other people were. The storm threw out things that you’ve come to depend on. Now you’re all left in an empty or trashed room silent, wondering what you should do next.
Many of you know what your next step should be but others of you are not listening to your inner voice. You are confusing fear or even depression as that voice. What these cards are saying is that many of you need to screw your head on straight and see things clearly. You are a strong person, a person who is powerful spiritually, and one who deserves happiness. But can you see that? Do you believe that?
There is a need to get clarity about where you are in life, and this seems to be both in a physical and metaphysical sense. That is, there needs to be a connection between these two realms. You are evolving spiritually a bit rapidly, but this isn’t always reflected in your environment because you are choosing to stick to places, people, emotions, and situations that keep you in the storm that has already came and went now. Liberate yourself—whether that is mentally, emotionally, physically, or spiritually. Let yourself be free. Let yourself be powerful. Let yourself be you.

A very interesting message this month. I do think it mirrors the prior ones we have been getting but it seems like the universe is pushing you to be by yourself. Perhaps you have all put too much energy into your relationships, and with you doing that, you gave away your power to others. Consequently, you have come to depend on others to give you love, happiness, and emotional fulfillment. And when they “slip up” or don’t meet your requirements, you’re left disillusioned and angry.
As earth signs, you come to depend on yourself. Therefore, it takes a lot for you to open up and let others share your load or to invest emotionally in them. The problem with this, often, is not in the act itself but in how you all may have a tendency to expect the world from others but not tell them. By this I mean, you place heavy and high expectations on others silently. For example, say you are very loyal in love. You then may project that undying devotion on to people you may be attracted to or even friends and family. So, when a crush, for instance, ends up with someone other than you, you may take this very hard even though you two may have never been in a relationship, let alone, confessed your feelings to one another. Or in the case of loved ones, when they don’t “return the favor,” whatever that is, you may end up feeling used or taken for granted. But again, it is a silent expectation that you are projecting on to others. And it is through this projection that you often create your own misery.
If you believe that life is difficult and full of challenges, you expect that and therefore operate in ways that creates situations where this is true. If you believe that relationships are messy and a hassle, you may attract relationships that are so. This is a self-fulfilling prophecy. And you all need to investigate why you tend to think in such pessimistic, black and white ways. Because you all are powerful manifestors. But instead of creating a reality that you want to actually live in, you continuously choose to paint grey skies and black storm clouds. Why? Your spiritual team wants you to examine this side of yourself in April, how you tend to sabotage yourself worse than any enemy could ever dream of.

Often when we are at our lowest and/or pushed outside of our comfort zone that we see the greatest amount of inner growth.
A very interesting message this month! It builds on the prior ones, especially the one that spoke of dealing with a difficult person. Whether co-worker, boss, family member, and now even lover, there is something that needs to be revealed to you all. But often air’s tendency is to run away from having to deal with hard conversations, ironically enough. Gemini is especially prone to this but even Libra and Aquarius have their moments. The universe wants to make you all surrender to what is truer than what you currently believe. Just like we only use 10% of our brain (which is apparently a myth), we have a very limited perspective on the higher workings of things. Why things occur in the way that they do and when is oftentimes out of our hands and understanding. We can try to create theories and explanations as to why something is “illogical” based on other theories and laws of nature, but sometimes there just isn’t a “logical” explanation; sometimes the forces of the universe and entities in them can act independent of us and our “natural laws.”
For you all, that may still be a very difficult thing to not only grasp but accept. Sort of similar to earth signs, you all tend to operate from a place that is grounded and assumes that seeing is believing. But with Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces, you are all being forced to consider the broader picture, not just the smaller, “rational” side you tend to preoccupy yourselves with. When you seriously contend with the more spiritual side of life, you will see everything with new eyes.
For others of you, this spiritual awakening is tied to stepping into your power, a message all of the other elements are getting to varying degrees as well. Air is non-confrontational and when it is, it is more indirect. It’s very surface level and wants things to be dealt with neatly and cleanly but that’s not always possible. If a situation is already passionate, no amount of “let’s keep things civil” is going to change that. Sometimes you have to get down and nasty to resolve issues or even just air them out. Mercury turns domicile by the end of the month. That will be the time to speak your truth if you haven’t already but there will be many opportunities to say your piece before then. Take them and let the people around you know how you feel. No more bluffing or dancing around situations that need a serious talking about or even fight. Be assertive! Speak up! Once the air is clear or things are out in the open, take some time to personally reflect. What did you learn when you chose to be aggressive and stand up for yourself?
