This blog is 11 months old!
We’re so close to the 1 year anniversary of this blog! I’m surprised I made it this far to be honest lol. I feel like I could have done more with it, but I am probably just not giving myself enough credit as usual.
Anyway, there is not much to update you all on that I didn’t already do in the previous post I made recently. I enjoyed my break. And if you all haven’t noticed, I was still working during this time, unfortunately. I made a gallery!
As I mentioned I Twitter, this was because I was tired of white astrologers and astrology enthusiasts always excluding black people (and other people of color) from their little lists on how the signs influence one’s physical appearance. They often only include Oprah, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. if they feel spicy, and that’s annoying. They can easily list off 100 white celebrities that they assume most people know and like, but when it comes to everyone else it is radio silence. So, that’s why I made my gallery.
I asked the people in my Discord server for suggestions and went from there. Many people on the list are people I enjoy, as I noted at the very beginning of the page. Some, though, are people I will eventually read on like Issa Rae, Tyler Perry, Constance Wu, and Jameela Jamil, who for some reason became the face of my gallery on Twitter. The irony of me talking about how black people are excluded from these lists only to have a non-black person of color who has a past of being anti-black and a present of being insufferable be the central focus is amazing, lol!
But in any case, that is all that has been going on with me. I did enjoy my little break but now it’s time to get back to work. See you all in December, most likely!
